It feels like a lifetime ago when I was hyper-focused on creating the perfect website to suit my needs with the perfect platform (which I never found). Is there such a holy grail of Content Management Systems? Like many peers of my generation, I have been platform agnostic and searching for something close to Squarespace's aesthetically pleasing and functional simplicity and expandable (with plugins galore) like Wordpress. I am now going to be part of the congregation of Ghost. The promise of fast pages, lean code, and integrated/expandable membership tiers matches better with documenting and organizing the assortment of rants, activities, and trips down the rabbit hole. So, let the adventure (and test) begin!
